deep burial
Far below ground
Deep burial is the disposal of something by placing it far underground, often to isolate hazardous materials from the environment: deep burial of nuclear waste, deep burial of chemical weapons.
The term appears in geology for natural processes that deposit sediments at great depths, and in archaeology for graves dug unusually far below the surface.
