dechristianized
Stripped of religion
Dechristianized describes something that has had Christian influence, character, or identity removed or reduced.
A dechristianized society has moved away from Christian traditions, institutions, or beliefs: The French Revolution dechristianized public life, replacing church calendars with secular ones.
The term often appears in historical discussions of secularization in formerly Christian regions.
