date window
Small numeral display
A date window is a small aperture on a watch face that displays the current date, typically showing just the day of the month as a number.
The window is usually positioned at 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock on the dial: The date window on his Rolex showed the 15th.
Some watches feature a magnifying lens called a cyclops over the date window for easier reading.
