dashed lines
Intermittent marking pattern
Dashed lines are lines composed of short segments with gaps between them, as opposed to solid continuous lines.
They typically indicate something provisional, hidden, or secondary: a dashed line on a map might show a proposed route, while in technical drawings it represents edges not visible from the current angle.
Sign on the dashed line refers to the space left for signatures on contracts and forms.
