dags
Dirty fleece ends
Dags are clumps of wool matted with dung that hang from the hindquarters of sheep.
Farmers remove them for hygiene and to prevent flystrike.
In Australian and New Zealand slang, dag extends to a person who is unfashionable or socially awkward but endearingly so: He's a bit of a dag, but everyone loves him.
