Fake crab sticks
Crabsticks are processed seafood products made from surimi—fish paste, typically pollock—that has been flavored, colored, and shaped to resemble crab leg meat.
Despite the name, they contain little to no actual crab.
They're a common ingredient in sushi rolls, seafood salads, and budget-friendly dishes where real crab would be prohibitively expensive.
I used crabsticks in the California rolls since fresh crab was too pricey.
