Strapless shaping garment
A corselette is a women's foundation garment combining a bra and girdle into one piece, extending from bust to hips.
Popular from the 1920s through the 1960s, it provided shaping and support before modern shapewear.
The term also appears in historical contexts for a light piece of body armor: The soldier wore a corselette over his tunic.
