cookie banners
Website permission requests
Cookie banners are the pop-up notices on websites asking visitors to accept or manage tracking cookies.
Required by privacy regulations in many jurisdictions, they typically appear on first visit and offer options ranging from "accept all" to granular preference settings.
The banners have become ubiquitous enough to inspire widespread annoyance: I just click accept to make the cookie banner go away.
