confidence levels
How sure someone is
Confidence levels express how certain someone is about a result, prediction, or estimate, typically as a percentage.
In statistics, a confidence level indicates the probability that a parameter falls within a specified range—a 95% confidence level means that if the same sampling method were repeated many times, roughly 95% of the resulting intervals would contain the true value.
Outside statistics, the phrase describes degrees of certainty more loosely: What's your confidence level that we'll finish on time?
