Chulo is a Spanish word with meanings that shift by region.
In Spain and parts of Latin America, it describes someone or something attractive, cool, or stylish: Qué chulo! (How cool!).
It can also mean a cocky, swaggering man—sometimes admiringly, sometimes not.
In Mexican Spanish, *papi chulo* is an affectionate or flirtatious term for an attractive man.
The word has crossed into American English in Latino communities, often retaining its approving sense: He thinks he's so chulo.
