cavity search
Invasive security procedure
A cavity search is a physical inspection of a person's body cavities—typically the mouth, rectum, and vagina—to find concealed contraband.
Law enforcement and corrections officers conduct cavity searches on suspects or inmates believed to be hiding drugs or weapons: They subjected him to a cavity search at the border.
The term often carries connotations of humiliation and invasiveness.
