care for
Attend to lovingly
Care for has two main senses.
The first involves tending to someone's needs: She cared for her aging mother for years.
The second expresses preference or affection, often in the negative or interrogative: I don't much care for his attitude, Would you care for some tea?
To care for someone romantically is to have feelings for them.
