carbon copied
Looped in others
Carbon copied describes being sent a copy of a message, originally referring to the thin paper that transferred ink to create duplicates when typing or writing.
Now it usually means receiving a duplicate email: I was carbon copied on the memo.
To carbon copy someone is to include them as a secondary recipient, keeping them informed without addressing them directly.
Often abbreviated CC.
