capillarized
Developed minute vasculature
Capillarized describes tissue that has developed or been supplied with capillaries—the tiny blood vessels where oxygen and nutrients pass between blood and cells.
The term appears in medical and physiological contexts: Highly capillarized muscle tissue can extract oxygen more efficiently.
Exercise training increases how capillarized muscles become.
