butter molds
Pats get pressed
Butter molds are decorative forms used to shape and imprint designs onto butter.
Traditionally carved from wood, they press patterns—flowers, wheat sheaves, animals, or family crests—into freshly churned butter for presentation.
Once common in farmhouse kitchens, they're now mostly collectibles or used for artisanal butter making: She pressed the butter into her grandmother's wooden mold.
