Unintended phone call
A butt call is an accidental phone call made when a phone in someone's pocket or bag is pressed against their body, inadvertently dialing a contact.
The recipient hears muffled sounds—footsteps, conversations, rustling fabric—without the caller's awareness: I got a butt call from my mom and listened to her grocery shopping for ten minutes.
Also called a pocket dial.
