bribe taking
Corrupt official's crime
Bribe taking is the act of accepting money or other benefits in exchange for official favors or corrupted judgment.
The term typically applies to public officials, judges, or others in positions of trust: The mayor was indicted for bribe taking.
Unlike bribery, which can refer to either side of the transaction, bribe taking specifically names the recipient's offense.
