brain plasticity
Mind's adaptive capacity
Brain plasticity is the brain's ability to change and reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout life.
This capacity allows the brain to compensate for injury, adapt to new experiences, and learn new skills.
Stroke patients often recover function through brain plasticity as undamaged areas take over lost abilities.
Also called neuroplasticity.
