braille slate
Blind writing tool
A braille slate is a portable device for writing braille by hand.
It consists of a hinged metal or plastic frame that holds paper between a template of small cells and a backing board.
Using a pointed stylus, the writer presses dots into each cell from right to left; when the paper is flipped, the raised dots read left to right in standard braille.
