bookstack
Vertical reading collection
A bookstack is a set of shelves for storing books, particularly the main shelving area in a library where books are housed.
In academic and research libraries, the stacks (or bookstacks) often refer to areas with dense rows of shelving, sometimes closed to the public: The rare volumes are kept in the closed bookstacks.
