bodychecked
Hit during play
Bodychecked is the past tense of bodycheck, a hockey move where a player uses their body to block or knock an opponent off the puck.
The term extends to any forceful physical collision used to impede someone: He bodychecked me into the wall as he rushed past.
The move is legal in hockey under certain conditions but can draw penalties if excessive.
