body-checked
Shoved into boards
Body-checked is the past tense of body-check, a hockey term for using one's body to block or knock an opponent away from the puck.
The move extends to any physical collision used to impede someone: He body-checked me into the wall as he rushed past.
Figuratively, it describes being stopped or thrown off course: Reality body-checked my plans.
