blue-ribbon panel
Top-tier advisors
A blue-ribbon panel is a group of experts or distinguished individuals assembled to investigate, advise, or make recommendations on a particular issue.
The term suggests prestige and authority—members are chosen for their credentials and reputation: The governor appointed a blue-ribbon panel to examine prison reform.
