blamed
Pointed the finger
Blamed is a mild oath used as a euphemistic intensifier, substituting for damned: I can't find my blamed keys, That blamed dog got into the trash again.
It appears in expressions of frustration or emphasis, now sounding old-fashioned or folksy.
The past tense and past participle of blame also take this form: They blamed him for the accident.
