bipods
Two-legged supports
Bipods are two-legged supports, typically attached to firearms to stabilize them during aiming and shooting.
The term applies mainly to rifle accessories that fold down from the barrel or stock: He deployed the bipod and settled into position.
Bipod can also describe any two-legged stand or creature, though tripods and monopods are more common for camera equipment.
