big whoop
Ironic expression of indifference
Big whoop is a dismissive response indicating that something is unimpressive or insignificant: So you got a promotion—big whoop.
The phrase is sarcastic—a whoop being a shout of excitement, the speaker implies there's nothing worth shouting about.
Sometimes extended to big whoop-de-do for extra dismissiveness.
