biethnic
Dual ancestral background
Biethnic describes a person whose parents come from two different ethnic backgrounds, or something relating to two ethnicities: biethnic identity, a biethnic household.
The term parallels biracial but emphasizes cultural and ancestral heritage rather than racial categories.
Someone might identify as biethnic when their background spans distinct ethnic groups within the same racial category.
