be had

Fall for it

To be had is to be deceived, cheated, or taken advantage of: I paid twice what it was worth—I've been had.

The expression suggests someone got the better of you through trickery or manipulation.

Less commonly, to be had means to be available for purchase or acquisition: Good deals are still to be had if you know where to look.
