bass pedal
Organ's foot lever
A bass pedal is a foot-operated control on a musical instrument.
On a piano or organ, bass pedals are the large pedals played with the feet to produce low notes.
On a drum kit, the bass pedal (or kick pedal) strikes the bass drum: He kept steady time on the bass pedal.
Bass pedals also appear on some synthesizers and guitar effects units.
