barre chord
Index finger fret
A barre chord is a guitar chord formed by pressing one finger flat across multiple strings while other fingers form the chord shape.
The technique lets guitarists play any chord up and down the neck: Once you master barre chords, you can play in any key.
Barre chords are notoriously difficult for beginners because they require significant finger strength.
