ball boys
Tennis match helpers
Ball boys are attendants, typically young, who retrieve stray balls during tennis matches and other sports.
They position themselves around the court or field, ready to quickly collect balls that go out of play and supply fresh ones to players.
The female equivalent is ball girl, though ball boys sometimes serves as a gender-neutral term for the role.
