automatic mode
No manual input
Automatic mode is a setting on cameras, appliances, or other devices that handles adjustments without user input.
The camera selects exposure and focus; the washing machine determines cycle length.
The term extends to human behavior—operating on automatic mode means acting without conscious thought: I was so tired I drove home on automatic mode.
