arrearages
Accumulated unpaid balances
Arrearages are amounts owed that are overdue—payments that should have been made but weren't.
The term appears most often in legal and financial contexts: The court ordered him to pay child support arrearages of twelve thousand dollars.
While arrears is more common, arrearages emphasizes accumulated debt as a countable sum.
