any way the wind blows

Any way the wind blows expresses indifference to outcome or direction—whatever happens, happens.

The phrase suggests passive acceptance or lack of preference: I don't really care where we eat, any way the wind blows.

It evokes something determined by chance rather than choice, like a leaf carried by air currents.

The expression gained cultural resonance from Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody": Nothing really matters... any way the wind blows.
