antitank mine
Vehicle-destroying buried charge
An antitank mine is an explosive device buried in the ground, designed to detonate when a tank or other heavy vehicle passes over it.
Unlike antipersonnel mines, antitank mines require substantial pressure to trigger—typically several hundred pounds—so a person walking over one usually won't set it off.
They're used to disable or destroy armored vehicles by blasting through the undercarriage.
