antipoison
Toxin counteracting substance
An antipoison is a substance that counteracts or neutralizes poison—synonymous with antidote.
The term appears in older texts and technical contexts but has largely given way to antidote in everyday speech: The doctor administered an antipoison immediately after the snakebite.
