angel trumpet

Angel trumpet is a large flowering shrub or small tree with dramatic trumpet-shaped blooms that hang downward, often a foot long.

Native to South America, it's grown as an ornamental for its showy, fragrant flowers in white, yellow, pink, or orange.

All parts of the plant are highly toxic, containing potent hallucinogenic alkaloids that can cause delirium or death if ingested.
