airmailing
Dispatching by plane
Airmailing is sending mail by aircraft rather than ground or sea transport.
The term dates from when airmail was a distinct, faster, more expensive postal service: I'm airmailing the documents so they arrive by Friday.
Now that most long-distance mail travels by air anyway, the word sounds somewhat dated.
