airline steward

In-flight service provider

An airline steward is a man who attends to passengers on a commercial flight—serving meals, demonstrating safety procedures, and responding to needs during the journey.

The term has largely been replaced by the gender-neutral *flight attendant*, though steward and stewardess still appear in British English and older usage.
