aerial predators
Raptors and eagles
Aerial predators are animals that hunt from the air—hawks, eagles, owls, and other raptors that spot and seize prey from above.
The term appears in nature documentaries and wildlife discussions: The rabbits froze at the shadow of an aerial predator.
It can extend metaphorically to anything that threatens from overhead, including military aircraft or drones.
