acid spray
Caustic liquid stream
Acid spray is a jet or mist of corrosive liquid, typically appearing in science fiction, video games, and fantasy contexts where creatures or weapons discharge caustic substances: The xenomorph's acid spray melted through the hull.
In gaming, it's often an attack ability that deals damage over time or penetrates armor.
The term occasionally appears in industrial or chemical contexts for actual corrosive dispersal.
