Wish You Were Here is a phrase expressing longing for someone's presence, typically written on postcards from vacation destinations.
It became the title of Pink Floyd's 1975 album mourning the absence of founding member Syd Barrett, which gave the phrase a melancholic, elegiac quality beyond its tourist-postcard origins.
