Trumps
Fifth Avenue dynasty
Trumps is the suit designated to outrank all others in a card game, or any card of that suit: Spades are trumps, She played a trump.
To trump is to beat with a trump card, or more broadly to surpass or defeat: His offer trumped mine.
To trump up is to fabricate: trumped-up charges.
A trump card is a decisive advantage held in reserve. (Capitalized Trump is the surname of American presidents.)
