The Others
Those not us
The Others is a way of naming people perceived as fundamentally different from one's own group—outsiders, foreigners, or those excluded from a shared identity.
The phrase carries an us-versus-them quality, often implying fear, suspicion, or incomprehension: They feared the Others beyond the wall.
In philosophy and sociology, the Other (singular) refers to anyone outside the self or dominant group, whose difference defines group boundaries.
The Others also appears as a title for various works of fiction, notably the 2001 horror film and the mysterious island inhabitants in the television series *Lost*.
