The Full Monty

Nothing held back

The Full Monty is British slang for the whole thing, everything, the complete amount.

The phrase gained wider currency from the 1997 film about unemployed steelworkers who become strippers, where it specifically meant full nudity: They went the full monty.

But the expression predates the film and applies to any situation where nothing is held back: We're doing the full monty—appetizers, main course, dessert, the works.
