Tattoo You
1981 rock release
Tattoo You is the 1981 album by the Rolling Stones, featuring "Start Me Up" and "Waiting on a Friend." The title puns on the phrase "tattoo you," playing on both the noun (a permanent skin marking) and an archaic sense of tattoo as a rhythmic drumming.
The album art depicts Mick Jagger's face decorated with tribal-style tattoos.
