Tabitha
Old-fashioned girl's name
Tabitha is a feminine given name of Aramaic origin meaning "gazelle." It appears in the New Testament as a woman raised from the dead by the apostle Peter.
The name saw revival among Puritans and again in the twentieth century, partly through the nose-twitching witch in the television series *Bewitched*: Tabitha's a family name going back generations.
