Super Bowl I
First NFL-AFL showdown
Super Bowl I was the first AFL-NFL World Championship Game, played January 15, 1967, between the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs.
The Packers won 35-10.
The game wasn't called "Super Bowl I" at the time—that name was applied retroactively after the term Super Bowl caught on for subsequent championship games.
