South Bay
San Jose area
South Bay refers to the southern portion of a bay, typically designating a geographic region rather than the water itself.
In California, the South Bay names two distinct areas: the southern reach of San Francisco Bay (including San Jose and Silicon Valley) and the coastal communities south of Los Angeles (including Torrance and Redondo Beach).
Other metropolitan areas have their own South Bays.
I grew up in the South Bay.
