Capital's famous collections
The Smithsonian museums are a group of research and educational institutions in Washington, D.C., and beyond, operated by the Smithsonian Institution.
Most are clustered on the National Mall: the National Air and Space Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of American History, and others.
Admission is free.
